Terms and Conditions

Service Agreement & Intellectual Property Framework

Effective 1 January 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the AlphaBrate for DSE (the "Service") provided by AlphaBrate, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This agreement governs your technical and academic use of our localized platform.

If you do not agree with these provisions, you must immediately cease use of the Service and clear your browser's local storage to terminate the session.

2. Intelligence Engine & API Usage

The Service utilizes a Bring Your Own Key architecture. AlphaBrate acts solely as a client-side interface for third-party Large Language Models (LLMs).

2.1 API Responsibility

Users are required to provide their own OpenRouter API credentials. AlphaBrate does not provide API tokens. You are solely responsible for all costs, usage limits, and security of the keys stored within your browser.

2.2 "As-Is" Provision & Model Dynamics

The Service is offered on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. The platform currently operates using the Xiaomi Mimo-v2-Flash engine through OpenRouter. Users may modify this by updating localStorage.modelID. However, the platform reserves the right to replace, update, or discontinue the underlying AI models at any time, without prior notice.

2.3 Accuracy Disclaimer

Assessments generated by the intelligence engine are for educational reference only. AlphaBrate makes no guarantees regarding:

3. Intellectual Property

All software logic, visual designs, and the "Atomic Points" diagnostic methodology are the exclusive property of AlphaBrate.

4. Data & Liability

As a localized application, AlphaBrate does not maintain user backups or remote databases.

4.1 User Data Sovereignty

You acknowledge that your academic progress and API credentials are stored locally via IndexedDB and LocalStorage. AlphaBrate is not liable for data loss resulting from browser updates, cache clearing, or hardware failure.

4.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AlphaBrate shall not be held liable for any academic outcomes, exam results, or financial charges incurred through third-party API providers during the use of the Service.

5. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these terms to reflect changes in API governance, model availability, or browser security standards. Continued use of the Service following revisions constitutes acceptance of the updated framework.
